How Many Times Can I Attempt IVF?

We all like to think that IVF will work on the first try, but unfortunately this isn't always the case. While being optimistic is very important during IVF, it's also important to be realistic and remember that IVF is a numbers game.

It's very difficult to put a number on how many IVF attempts should be done. Everyone reacts different to IVF treatment. Age, fertility issues and overall health play an important factor in IVF.

It's ultimately up to you and your doctor on how many IVF attempts should be done. Since IVF is quite expensive and not all insurances cover, many individuals have one attempt. Others try IVF over IVF cycle in hopes that it will eventually work.

It is best to go over this with the fertility clinic you choose as they will be able to determine the best route to take in order to deliver your best chances of becoming pregnant.
